About

Hi, I’m James, a Staff Writer for Fit&Well and freelance journalist from London, UK.

I have been writing professional since 2016, when I joined the consumer technology site MakeUseOf. During my time there, I covered online security, privacy, and hardware.

In February 2019, I became the site's Buyer's Guide editor, a position I held until I joined Fit&Well in August 2021. Over the years, I have attended the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Black Hat Europe, and IFA Berlin.

I graduated from the University of Surrey with a BEng in Mechanical Engineering. In 2013 I became ill with a chronic illness called Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (PoTS). I write about it over at POTS Jots.

Back in 2014, I began meditating and haven’t missed a day since. Mindfulness is now a large part of my life. I have written in the past about mental health, its interaction with technology, and volunteer for the suicide prevention charity, Samaritans.

Thanks for stopping by and if you want to get in touch, please do! You can catch me over on Twitter at @jimjamfroo or on Mastodon.
